I understand they're using old CS boats as targets, eh.

I don't care about shooting people that are too
stupid to remain out of
the ranges, but if I can't shoot ducks with lead
shot, why should the
CG
get to dump tons of the stuff?
Cheers
Marty
The small arms ammunition is copper jacketed lead. The
l ship's larger
guns
contain almost no lead at all. You think a 5 inch
projectile is lead? The
Phalanx spews DU . There's no lead in all the AP stuff
either.
Oh that's great then, being as how copper and the
various compounds it
will form in the chemical soup of the Great Lakes is
totally nontoxic to
aquatic flora and fauna right?
Cheers
Marty
I would suggest you review the naturally occuring minerals
that dissolve in
to the lake. You will see that they are far, far greater
than any target
practice by the Coast Guard. Furthermore, Canada should
pay for those
minerals deposited by the Coast Guard. Lead, cadmium,
bismuth, uranium are
all valuable metals.
