Take a look at http://www.scannav.com/index.html
It is the best program I have come across for scanning and stiching charts
for navigating.
It can "straighten out" even the most wrinkled and streched scans by using
enough reference points.

I have the Canadian Paper charts for the Canadian Gulf Islands.

Is there a way to have some of these charts scanned and converted to
electronic raster charts?

I don't really want to spend all the $$$ to buy the entire Vancouver
island set since all I need is just a few of the charts.
