Looking at a retailer in Germany, the 16 foot Old Town Penobscot goes for
around 1500 Euros, or nearly 1900 USD. The exchange rate is the killer, and
it doesn't look to improve. You don't know how good you've got it over
there, both for price and assortment. Ebay is an alternative, sometimes
with paddles and PFDs thrown in:
