When are you pulling out?

We are now on trailer after repairs were made to our engine by the
mechanic
at our new marina. The dumbass mechanic at our old marina not only
put in
the wrong temp thermostat but used the wrong type of spark plugs when
he
tuned up the engine last summer. I will most likely bring the boat
in for
winterization in the next 2 weeks. However, if the weather holds out
I
would like to do some perch fishing one last time so I may hold off on
the
engine/outdrive winterization until late October.

So how about you? ;-)

North?

No offense, but you guys down there around 41.5N or so don't know
anything at all about "north."

Try 47.6N, thank you, and we rough tough hombres here abouts will be
boating at least a little bit each month all winter!

Pulling out, indeed. :-)

So tough? we'll see you in january on the Mississippi here at southern
42 degreesN. and see how you do without mommy pacific to keep you warm
and cozy.

How wide and deep is the Ol' Mis at 42N in midwinter? Can't you rough
tough hombres of 42N just walk across the ice? :-)

It is a mile or two wide but due to the current doesn't freeze over in
most places. Lake Pepin, a natural wide spot in the river, is an
exception. So the hardcore can boat and fish all winter, even on days
with highs below zero, farenheit. It can get a little tricky to slide
the boat across the ice from the ramp. :-)
