Sadly their research is used to support the Big Bang theory. The Big Bang
theory is even more flawed than Global Warming, it requires stretches,
gymnastics and fudge factors all over the place. Dark energy and dark matter
that can't be seen or measured - just to fudge calculations.

Why don't they just invoke the ether to make things simpler, more intuitive
and correct?

Michelson Morely supposedly "proved" the ether does not exist. Yet, if the
ether was dragged along with the earth (in both translation and rotation) a
null result would occur also. Well, just look at the Lens-Thirring effect:

There's your ether drag!

All that red shift stuff is simply light slowing down because the ether
density is decreasing as space expands.
