I do it all the time with no problems. Just make sure your charger is an
automatic "float" charger and not one of the older technology constant
trickle chargers. The float types automatically and periodically check
battery charge level, charge if necessary and then go back to a float
level
maintenance voltage.

I always leave the batteries in the boat all year. Makes it easier to go
fishing all year. Be a hassle to have to install the batteries to go
sturgeon fishing. Only bad thing about boating right now, is the storage
yard where I leave the boat has been sold for development, so have to find
another storage place. Thinking of maybe buying a 15 acre parcel and
converting it to storage for boats and RV's.
