That's got a rather short mast and unusual helm. And I've
never seen a two wheeled trailer with the wheels configured
fore-and-aft. It almost looks like a motorcycle!

About the mast support... it was not permanent, it was a
stout aluminum pole with a "y" bracket at the top, arranged
with a short piece of PVC pipe to work as a roller. Made
setting up the rig much easier. It rested in a socket just
beside the rudder gudgeons, so it could stay in place with
th rudder mounted. Saved the work of removing the rudder,
and also did not place trailering strains on the gudgeons.
When we first got the boat, we took it off when sailing.
Then I realized it made a nice flag staff, and we left it in
place. Then we just got lazy and left it in place.

After 20 years of observing people trailering sailboats, my
opinion is that 95% of them make far too much work out of
it. They then don't sail as often because it's too much PITA
to rig/launch/retrieve the boat. They say life goes in
cycles
