They're just that dark patch at the very front. The camera was exposing for
the rest of the boat.
But, that's not it. :-)

could be further up the mast. (I assume what shows there is the
fitting for the spinnaker pole.)

And what I said was that in lieu of running lights at the bow, the
boat might have a tri-color unit at the masthead (That's the top of
the mast for lubbers not familiar with the term)
