You could try backing into the slip.


You got it, Jon. A lesson I learned the hard way a couple of years ago.
While fronting in can be difficult with a strong current behind you, getting
out the next morning is even more of a pain. Backing in makes getting out
again a piece of cake.


I several times. It can be difficult but is easier than front in first.

Related question... so, you need to back up fairly straight. How do
you negate prop walk besides using short bursts and neutral?
