Actually Carter was a pretty good President. History is appraising him
more and more highly as time goes on.

Ah, you like and approve of double-digit inflation? A slumping economy?
About as much as I like the slumping economy, plus a war, that we have
now. But hey, we can't blame that on President Bush, can we?
Can't address an issue head-on, can you? You always cite something the
opposition has done as vindication for the incompetence of your own party.
Has inflation ever come near the levels it did during Carter's
administration since he left office? Have interest rates hit the double
digits we experienced under his incompetent leadership?
No no, only Democratic Presidents are responsible for the economy and
then only when it's bad.
Carter accomplished a number of things, such as beginning to wean the
country from Big Oil...
Really? Wasn't terribly effective at it, was he. Can you cite something
he did that had lasting results?
politically a bad move, and he's still getting tarred & feathered for it.
Look up the conventional arms limitation treaty he put thru... as
responsible for the demise of the Soviet Union as anything President
Reagan did, and also gave the world a decade of greater stability, less
genocide, low-intensity 3rd world conflict, etc etc.
LOL. Of course all the myriad other factors that played a part in those
aspects of the years following his departure from the Oval Office were
inconsequential, right? He did walk on water, didn't he?
Yeah. like any Bush/Cheney cheeleader is going to approve of anything
Carter ever does or says.
You're full of ****, Doug.
Actually, I'm not.
From downwind it would appear you are.
.... I detest Bush.
Than why did you not only vote for him twice, but whine & kick and call a
lot of people names because they pointed out that he's not doing a very
good job running the country?
I changed my mind regarding the man subsquent to some things he's done in
office. Unlike you, I'm not an inflexible demagogue.
For that matter, why are you still doing it?
You haven't been paying attention, but that's not surprising, considering
your dogmatic view of everyone with whom you debate. I'm still a
libertarian with some conservative beliefs, but that hardly means I'm
supportive of the current administration. You are still a liberal, and
I'll always disagree with your beliefs, but, again, that hardly makes me
supportive of Bush.
You, OTOH, are still a trumpet for moveon.org.
