How was your time out on the boat this past Saturday with your family?

It was very good, thankyou.

Nephews and I went over to Carlyle and launched. no problem. water with
just a little ripple. Fun lake, you can go on a 10 mile run from
southeast corner to northwest corner. Got out in the middle, and broke
out "the tube" nephews took their turns at being bounced over the
wakes. we deflated the tube, then came the kneeboard. they had a riot
with that thing too. I've decided that I deffinately need a bigger
boat. I mean, the little Scorpion 169 w/140 mercruiser does good for
our purpose, but seeing its an enclosed bow, you don't have much room
topside for a lot of toys. the tube went flat and the kneeboard came
out. Water was a bit warmer than I had expected seeing that it's
geting cooler in the evenings, but it was bright and sunny with very
little breeze.

Interesting thing about jet-skis around here. The people out there were
really courteous. what I mean by that is they wern't trying to dart
around to hop your wake. they pretty well stayed their distances from
the power boaters. Plenty of room for everybody.

It was almost amusing to see sailboats out and about. with almost no
wind. even so, they had some full sails but wern't going very far, very
fast. I kind of felt sorry for them.

Anyhow, we pulled out about 6pm, and headed for the local eat joint.
and sure enough, my nephews ordered "page 2"... a piece. 17 and 15
year old nephews can pack away the groceries!. I rememebr when I used
to eat like that. I settled for a cheesburger. (one of the finest in
the country!) then homeward we went, and got in about 8:30.

I burned about 12 gal of gas. ate too much, swam a lot, and everybody
came home dead tired.

it was a blast.

Thanks for asking!
