We did, thanks!
Caught 63 of them. They are in the cooler at the local fish cleaner
waiting
to be descaled and butterfly filleted. I will pick them up tomorrow.

Weather is predicted to be perfect........the perch are
biting..........heading out tomorrow! My wife is going out with me so
we
can fill the cooler with 80 of them (Ohio limit on Lake Erie is 40
perch/person/day).
Mmmmmmmmmmm..........yellow perch. ;-)
Aren't they bony?
The fish the little kids target from the floats in the local marinas
are "pile perch", and they may be different from your yellow perch- but
a pile perch seems like it's about 80% bones and maybe 20% meat.....
Too much work to cook and eat, for what little meat you get, (IMO)
Boney? I guess just as much as any fish. Their bones are small and you do
have to be careful when eating them even when professionally filleted.
Unless you catch jumbos the meat yield on the fish is only fair to good.
But even the small to medium ones yield enough meat that 3 or 4 are enough
for most anyone when cooked properly.
We do not keep the small ones.
Any worms in them? That seems to be a problem these days. 25 years ago
, my parents would buy filets in MN 2-3 times a month and they were
great (and cheap). I haven't heard of any available commercially now.
