the Day in Pictures, and click on the archives. Scroll until you find a
huge pile of rotting fruit, the caption says:

Wasted fruit: Tons of pears, picked past their prime, rot in a field
near Lakeport, Calif. An estimated 30 percent of this year's pear crop
will not be harvested because of a lack of migrant laborers.
