I've noticed that the chevy merc bell housings have a number of extra
holes. I don't know how many different engine blocks they bolt up to
besides the standard chevy so I can't say if they are the same ones
used on the merc 4 cylinder. The 3.7 is the one merc made? Not the
chevy 4, right? In any case nothing changes on the transom, it's just
the bell housing. But you will need Y pipes and complete exhaust
systems. Plus all the cooling stuff. If you buy complete merc v6's
then it should be pretty simple. If you are going to rebuild a couple
v6s and put them in you are going to be hunting down brackets, mounts,
and other stuff. On the plus side a lot of that stuff is the same as
the v8's. I'd hunt for some donor boats if I was trying to do this.
