Default engine replacement

out drives will probably be ok, but you're bell housings, mounts,
exhaust , plumbing will all be different. sounds to me like a change
over wouldn't be worth the PITA to do it.

I don't know, though. you'd just have to do some figuring.

I just smoked one of my mercruiser 3.7 lx engine my boat has twins.
I'm considering changing both to 229 v6 gm engines. 10 horspower more per
engine.
my question is will the old outdrives fit the newer engines?
the outdrives are alpha 1's. or am I going to have to change out drives also.
if thats the case I guess I'll just have tyhe 4 cylender rebult.
any ideas
