Bummer. But you still have a chance to practice some sailing tactics,
if not actually sailing. Does the Suburu exceed hull speed when
surfing? If you shift weight forward or aft, does it pitch differently
over the dunes?

These mass-produced vehicles are never as good as something
specifically designed for the task. I'll ask Phil Bolger if
he can come up with something for cruising the desert...
preferably suitable for home-building, of course...
