The idea is not to pitch over dunes. On slipfaces, she's supposed to
steer straight down. Get sideways to the wave and she'll capsize. I
have my EPIRB handy, and it's now all GPS navigation. I did manage to
fall into the same rabbit warren three times a coupla weks ago,
something of a record. (Once coming and twice going)
Yes, SUbaru does exceed hull speed while on dunes, won't get up them
otherwise and unsafe to slow down going down them. THe consequence of
too high a 1st gear/low range/3500rpm power/transmission combination.
