| It takes a silly girly-man fool to seriously consider a Mac

| Might as well sail a Dempsey dumpster...

| Jim, just ignore him. He's a troll. Besides, your fine vessel serves

| It's fun to sail. - It's not a Swann or a Baltic or a Valiant, but it's

Is it fun knowing most sailors who see you sailing or motoring that thing
around
will be thinking, "What a waste! The dude coulda spend the same amount of
money
on a good used sailboat and had something worthwhile..." How much fun is
it to be
thought foolish and ignorant?

To each his own. The Mac is the right boat for some and if the shoe fits,
why not wear it? I have my eye on the Precision 28, but in doing my
research, I've learned they are no longer in production. This may be a
temporary situation but no one at Precision can say for sure at this time.
So now I'm trying to hunt down a used 28.
The folks at Precision contacted me and informed me that they make their big
money on the smaller boats, and find it a bit impractical to maintain
tooling for the 28. They suggested I look at the Hunter 27 as a close match.
I liked the swim platform on the Precision though, which to me seems like a
practical sacrifice of cockpit space if the owner (like me) will spend lots
of time in the water as well as on the boat.
