Default What Typ[e of Sailor Are You

That sounds great! So you'll be racing the E22 this season?

Yep but it'll be a pretty easy season.
My daughter wants to learn to sail the boat so we'll be taking it easy
till she's up to speed.

Excellent! That will be real 'quality time' spent together.
I know that my father & grandfather were often frustrated
(to put it mildly) with the younger generation as crew but I
know for a fact it's among their best memories too.

Besides all that, who else do you trust to teach her how to
do it right?

You're a mad ******* Doug :-)
Is that peelply you're using?

Yes, it makes a huge difference in how well the stuff goes
together. I'm not vacuum-bagging it but am using barrier
film and rollering it down really hard. The panels are
amazingly strong & light! I will have to think up some good
excuses if the boat doesn't come out next to perfect.

You may not remember the discussion with "The Navigator"
about using kevlar & carbon fiber in laminations, I was
under the impression that the stuff needed much more complex
& difficult techniques, you said it pretty much works like
normal fiberglass thus encouraging me to give it a try.
Thanks again!

Sailing a Laser would be a good exercise & flex program but
it's not as predictable as walking. Don't know if the docs
understand it all.

Yeah, a mate bought two and keeps telling me I should sail one, but to
be honest, I don't think my leg is ready for the hiking.....yet .

Don't rush it. It's not the hiking, it's the scrambling &
the swimming. And the Laser gunwhale is bad for circulation
too. But it's so much fun, it *has* to be good for you!
