Default Old vs Newer vs. New...what nonsense!

Total bull and if Doug's freinds actually say their Jenny is better
than their Benny is EVERY way, they're idiots. Every boat has strengths
and weaknesses. My 35s5 is faster and more comfortable than the C&C 32,
but the C&C was easier to single hand and I liked the dinette better
than our current layout. The Pearson 30 was simple and fun to sail in a
way the others weren't and quite forgiving with better tracking,
especially off the wind.
Anyone who says that a newer boat is "better in every way" is so
clearly trying to convince themselves it's pathetic. I've enjoyed all
of my boats and all fit their time in my life nicely. I don't even
think of the 35s5 as a "better" boat. It's just different. Is a bigger
more complicated PDQ 36 "better" than a Cape Dory Typhoon? Hell no! Not
if the Typhoon fits what you need better.
Don't waste time on such useless terms as "better." Buy the boat that
suits you, be it a Swan 52 or a Mac26M. Doug bought one of the ugliest
little boats I've ever scene in the Hunter 19. I tease him about it,
but he followed the suitability rule quite well and didn't worry about
ridicule by a few sailing snobs.

I want everyone to grow up TODAY!!!

35s5...the right boat for now

Makes absolute sense for people with self confidence. This is what you have
been saying all along about your 35s5, yet they still attack! Obviously a
lack of self confidence on the part of the attacker. Well done.

The truth and clarity of vision is a mighty steamroller.

Roll on!

Amen!
