Default Ft. Myers, FL?

So Ft. Myers has no time limits on anchoring out like more and more

Do not confuse Ft Myers with North Ft Myers. They are across the
river from each other, and North Ft Myers on the north side of the
river, seems to have a more relaxed attitude based on what I've
observed. There is a very popular anchorage north of Lofton Island
where some people seem to stay a loooooong time although I do no know
what, if any, regulations apply.

Cape Coral on the other hand has a 14 day anchor limit which seems to
be fairly strictly enforced. The secret of course is to not over stay
your welcome in any one place. That way you're a cruiser. :-)

Ft Myers Beach, which is yet again another political entity, has
adopted some fairly strict regulations, and replaced the old floating
trailer park behind Estero Island with a highly regulated mooring
field. Most of the old timers seem to have moved back into Hurricane
Bay behind San Carlos Island.
