My buddy had a 9' 6'' wide motor boat. Towed it down to the
Chessy and back almost every w/e for 3 years. Down rte #10.

8' 6'' is the 'legal limit'. If you're only doing it a
few
times a year, I wouldn't bother with permits. Just don't
try to get on the turnpike, especially NJ. Haul it on a
Sunday. Avoid any toll booths.
Chesapeake City? or the Bay?
NJ permits are only $10, good for 3 days.
PA is based on weight and miles, some of mine are over
$200.
However, I found an old one here as low as $26. Good for 7
days.
DE, ?? not considered a real state.
Oh, and permit loads can't travel from noon Sat, till
Monday
morning.
Nice boat! Call me if you get her. I can advise further.

Scotty,
Do you know how wide a beam I can carry on PA, NJ, Del
roads
without a permit?
And what if I went 10' beam and pulled it home each
winter,
do you see any problem getting a permit and pulling with
my
Dodge Ram 2500? Any idea what that permit might cost?
(from
Chesapeake to Trappe).
