Default Armchair River Voyaging - all navigable U.S. rivers

Hi guys & gals,

Just joined your group, and would like you to see something very unique
that I developed over this past winter, that will help you plan your
next actual trip, or just allow you to cruise your river of choice with
no boat at all! And, its all FREE, available to everybody
everywhere, with no spam guaranteed. I'm retired now, and this is my
way of giving back to this old world, which has been pretty good to me
and my wife. Go to this site (my wifes), and select the "Virtual
Voyager" menu item.

A good river to "get your feet wet" in is the Ohio. Select it in the
drop-down box and press the GO button. The map that loads will place
you in Pittsburgh at the juncture of the Allegheny and Monongahela
rivers, which is mile 0 for the Ohio (most rivers have mile 0 at the
mouth of the river). Now you can zoom in, zoom out, select the road
map or aerial map (what you are looking at is called a "hybrid" map),
or begin your river journey downstream by selecting mile 1, or jumping
to a mile of your choice, or jumping to a "Point of Interest" of your
choice. Try the "HELP" button, which explains a lot about what you
are doing and credits the sources I used to build these viewers.
Enjoy, and please give me some feedback, there is always room for
improvement.
Thanks, Musseler
