Some of the powerboaters do that at my marina. Most of the
sailors can dock their boat without banging into stuff.


Almost every sailboat here wears fenders in the slip. It's just another
layer of protection that costs very little. I also added storm lines to
back up the snubbers. Why not?
Some boats keep the boat close to one side for easier boarding and wear
fenders only on that side.
