It can be very effective on broad reaching and poled out wing on wing in
light air. Play with it and give it time to find the groove. Your Genoa
is a big sail and the draw string can help with a baggy shaped sail
downwind wind. Just remember; nothing happens fast downwind in light
air. Patience and be still.
As I've said; we called it the Cookie Tack. I'd pass out cookies and
every one would sit quitely and speed was in the hands of the helm.
As I've also said, when every one is Quite and and watching the
Speed-ometer, it is a magic time to cut loose with a great FART. The
results are truly great!
