Yeah.... the $20 they pay to pan for $5 of salted gold dust.

It's almost as good as buying the bridge.

Why not leach the gold out by dumping a few drums of cyanide into the
river? That's the manly way!

The real manly way would be to build a sluice and use high pressure water
to place volumes of choking sediment into the waterway while destroying
all erosion controls along the river bank. Just think.... a floating barge
with pump and sluice could wander it's way around, not only adding
sediment but destroying the bottom of the river at the same time.
