Still waiting to hear about your club's wireless internet, deals with
local restaurants, West Marine, Sail Lofts....oh and can your club
handle both slips and moorings? Do they have dockside power and water
for everyone? Is it full service? Of course not!
Dude...all the bar length in the world won't make your "club" nicer
than what we have. You pay to sit on the end of a chain. It's the pits.
Didn't your boat already have an anchor?
As every sailor learns when they join us from "sailing clubs" like CIYC
and HYC, you get about a 3rd more use out of a boat when it in a slip.
As I said, we have arrangements with another club for a junior sailing.
And they get service from us. It's called a boating community, Dave.
NMYC and SMYC are the best on the Island and nicer than what you have.
Bottom line: Moorings suck. They're for small toy boats and folks who
can't afford a slip.
