My comment about leaving out the "I have a client" part has to do with
knowing a salesman is automatically a suspicious character with the
general public. This comes from years of experience and is certainly
no knock from me.

The part about a salesman should know everything about his product was
tongue in cheek. You get extra credit for trying to educate yourself
to help your client.
