Default NPR Story: Sea-Based Piracy on the Rise in Asia

This is an audio link to a story which, unfortunately, contains inverviews
with people who know what they're talking about. Even so, people like Dave
Hall might find it interesting.

Last year, some 445 pirate attacks on the high seas were reported, an
increase of nearly 25 percent over 2002. Many of the incidents occurred in
the Molucca Straits in Southeast Asia. In the more sophisticated attacks,
pirates who commandeered ships -- often after stalking them for hours --
altered names and documents for both ship and cargo. NPR's Michael Sullivan
reports.

Sorry, Dave - I couldn't resist. :-)
