How to beat "The Horror!"
Too bad you had to spend the day sitting dockside with no wind.
Who said there was no wind. There was a breeze all day.
How many sailing dinghies does that club of yours have for
its members' use BS?
We have City Island, Harlem and Sty. yachtclub here. They don't all
offer dinghies to sail, but we have a deal with CIYC to use theres in
exchange for discounts on service.
Not much wind on the Sound today, so I had a pleasant day sitting on
the
mooring with a cool breeze blowing,
Huh? No wind, but you had a breeze??? Plenty of people were sailing
Sunday, but it was flukey, blowing 8 knots, then 15, then nothing. By
about 3:00 it looked pretty good out there.
we always have a decent breeze in the Cove you can't really tell
whether there's enough wind on the Sound.
Can't you see out of the cove? Don't you have a radio? Yes, we all know
about Coves like that. Centre Port is like that. It's nice to always
have the best winds on the LIS here and we don't have to sail out of a
hole.
AC? I don't think so.
Your sad little boat can't handle an A/C. And considering that you have
a daughter and such a dated boat, you probably can't afford it anyway.
Most people would want something nicer for their child, if they could
afford it. I guess your boat is better than nothing, though it's a
close call.
