Default Another MiniVan

Gotta drive from Tallahassee to Chicago via rental MiniVan. This one
is a Chevy Uplander. No mountain driving and only about 2000 miles but
I'll compare it to the Kia Sedona.

It can't compare I'm afraid. Only 200 HP and 220 lbs of torque. Or as
Automotive.com says...

"If Uplander falls short of the best minivans, it's most obvious in the
driving. This Chevy's cam-in-block engine makes less power than those
in all of its primary competitors, and while Uplander is pleasant
enough to drive, it feels less responsive and perhaps less satisfying
in handling overall. "

But most reviews say the Uplander is a great value, costing 1000's less
than Kia, Toyota, Honda and Nissan. 2006 has a new engine option almost
as powerful as the class leading Kia's. Maybe a rental will have it,
but I doubt it. Most are sold with the standard 200 HP motor. Sadly,
it's a GM poduct and I'm too smart to give money to an American
automaker.
