CAN ANYONE HELP
I just got a 80pd thrust minn kota foot controlled bow mount riptde
trolling motor for my 17.5 lund fisherman the boat weighs fully loaded
with at least 2 people and all of everything including motor, gear,
fuel, batteries and what ever else id bring with me is about 2200
pounds. Do I have to much trolling motor? I don't know close to
anything about trolling motors, but I do know that I could have stuck
with a 55pound of thruster. But I was thinking about a lot of things
when I got this one. Things like if my 90hp 4 stoke drops dead on me, I
can try to get back to the dock, if not to fare out. Fishing in a the
hard currents of salt water. Now there appears to be a power control
on the peddle that goes from 0 to 10. Im assuming that allows me to set
how much power I can give to the motor like a throttle, but since I
know nothing about these types of motors I don't know for sure if that
is what that even is. lol Anyone know anything to help me out? Im
guessing that if I can control how much actaul thrust I can use then I
should be allset even if the motor is a little larger then I need.
Hopless fisherman.
If you bought the motor new, it came with an instruction manual. Have you
read it?
Or was the motor stolen, or bought used without paperwork?
