Do you seriously think you can do that? If so, if you've done the market
research that supports that, you've got a great business model. I suspect
that you won't be able to get that kind of traffic.
In addition, it's going to take more than 2 hours to do one trip. Figuring
getting people on and off, plus getting paid, plus who knows what else,
you'll be lucky to get three times per day. But, have no idea.
Suggest you do a lot more research. Why hasn't anyone else done it? There
are other smart people out there. :-)

The cost of the boat (and other costs) vs. your return on the investment.
$20 x 6 = $120... doubtful you can work 7-day weeks, and how many months
per
year? That's why you don't see it very often. :-)

That $120 is for two hours or so. I am talking about doing that three to
four times a day..

Just thinking about starting a sailboat charter in a nice tourist area
(ie Pawleys Island, S.C.) where people are taken on a tour for a
couple of hours for 20.00 each. Not looking for a get rich quick
thing, but something people would enjoy doing without breaking the
bank. Just trying to get a discussion going on this and any
suggestions would be helpful. I understand about having a sailboat
captains license (at least a 6 pack), insurance business license, ect.
Just wondering what other drawbacks there are as you don"t see this
very often.
