Boating on Jackson Lake, Wyoming
I would be very careful. Eruptions happen!
Besides, the scenery sucks, the wild animals are all Disney robots, and
cowboys are known to get really lonesome!

We took a vacation to Wyoming from Florida and camped at Signal
Mountain in the Grand Teton Park. It turns out that this campground is
right on Jackson Lake which is miles wide and 18 miles long with
numerous islands and crystal clear water. It is a beautiful boating
venue with the Tetons right next to it. There are numerous mooring
buoys and 3-4 marinas. They charge only $24/night for a slip
regardless of boat size but also charge a $40 fee for a year of boating
and $25 for a week in the park. We saw power boats up to 30' and
sailboats up to 26'
To make it better, Yellowstone Lake, which is even larger is only about
100 miles north.
I was told that there are no charts because the water level varies a
lot (there must be some form of charts).
Next year when I have my Tolman Skiff finished, I may take her out
there.
