Capt. Rob typed:
While you all posted.... A few diggs on Heart of Gold had gone wantigg
cuz I'be been obeheageh t' sail radeh dan finish dem up. So today I
finished conneckigg (propehly) de masdead lites 'n instrumins 'n
swapped out the, duh uhh, toppigg liff. When I was done it was dgust
2:30 'n I cudd see de Beneteau 21's from our local school blastigg
back 'n f'd. My instrumins showebuhd 9-13 knots...pehfeck f' some easy
sigglehandigg. De wind was ackual a bit flukey, falligg t' 6 knots,
duuhhhh, poppigg back to 13-15, but man, can dis boat fly! Doihh,
COOL! On a reach she dgust slid along at 7.5 knots, duuhhhh, toppigg 8
on occashun, den hard on the, uh, the wind, uh uh uh uh, she clawebuhd
along nice heelid to bou' 13-15 degrees 'n dgust feeligg like a big
wigg on the, uh, the wateh. Webuh habe a Dg160 in our area 'n he came
into biew as I gordid f' Execushun rock. Uhhh....When he passed, uh uh
uh uh, I webuhnt affeh him. , no way...he must habe been makigg 10
knots easy. Powebuhrful lookigg boat! COOOL MAN! Sailigg de 35s5 alone
does present some awkerd progglems. Heh big wheel rekires some fast
footwork at times f' a sigglehandeh and anyone wid no crew on a
regular basis wudd be betteh sehbid by a cockpit mountid trabeleh of
cusse. I young 'n kick, so no big deal. A couble of times I left the,
uh, the wheel t' trim 'n she held fast. DOIHH!I nebeh expeckid heh t'
track so webuhll...dis is my firss wigg keelid boat. Anodeh behy
bleasigg sail! Doihh, COOL! RB 35s5 NY
