Default Fast Sail Boats of ASA

"Frank Boettcher" wrote

And a number of my friends have or are thinking about

moving from sail
to power, with trawlers being the boat of choice. They

haven't
necessarily given up on sailing, just on the practicality

of owning a
large sailboat given their individual circumstances. One,

in Boca
Raton, lives on a canal on the wrong side of a couple of

fixed
bridges. Wants a boat he can keep at his house, rigged

and ready.
This is the guy who taught me to sail when we were both

teenagers.
His decision makes sense to me. Other similar stories.

Doug's
probably just as rational, but if not it would be only an

opinion and
none of my business anyway.

I've always found trawler people to be more like sailors
than powerboaters. They will give you ''right of way'', with
a friendly wave. They tend to be more quite at anchor than
your normal PBer.

Bob**** is all about image. He thinks his image of a sailor
is cool. Maybe some day he'll wake up to reality.
