No Scout.... it's a celebration of the famous American Privateer that
plundered the area and was finally cornered by the British Admiralty. Rather
than give up... they set fire to the vessel. Legend has it that on some
foggy evenings.... you can see the Teaser... sailing along while on fire.

Scout... try and schedule for the first long weekend in August. Mahone
Bay Wooden Boat Festival. If you decide to make it then... I'll arrange
for a mooring at Mahone Bay for the festivities. you don't want to miss
the "Burning of the Teaser" and the Fireworks. Lot's of activity in these
parts around then.
