La Guardia Airport is closer to Execution Rock than Kings Point?
Right, Booby, you sure know your home waters. The US Merchant Marine
Academy at Kings Point is about 2 miles south of your slip! What a
jackass!
La Guardia is about 8 miles west, in a totally different geography,
and is notorious for high wind readings. KP, right on the water,
didn't record steady wind over 16 knots that evening. Yes, there
might have been a few gusts up to 22, but in fact LGA only reports a
knot or so higher. This is a huge difference from 30 knots.
And I stand by the timeline - you made two posts the night before
mentioning "heavy air," and it was the almost a day after the fact
that you mentioned 30 knots. You did mention in the second post after
the sail that you tested out reefs, but you never mentioned the wind.

Sorry, Jeff...I'll dismantle you with clear facts and you can join the
other bodies in the pit of dopey doom!
either your lying or not reading my first post which mentions the
following....
"With a single reef and the
110 popped we flew on a close reach...the surge of power felt so far
beyond anything the C&C 32 could do."
Not only that you clearly can't read the report closest to where we

Winds steady at nearly 20 knots BEFORE 6 pm, Jeff. OOPS!!!!
Sounds like we had a bit of wind, Jeff. And yes, I'm just 20 minutes
from home.
