Default Clear Lake Fireworks

Although it's a little further, I think the fireworks at Galveston are
the best deal. The traffic isn't as jammed, so you can get out fairly
quickly after they finish. The fireworks are set up at the end of one of
the rock groins near Seawall and 39th street, and there is lots of room
to set up chairs and coolers anywhere along the Seawall. They put on a
great display, viewed over the gulf, and you can get quite close for a
good, unobstructed view. Bring your own food and drink, however,
because the restaurants are jammed.

Joe (or anybody in the Clear Lake area);

Any schedule for fireworks in the Clear Lake Area on the
fourth of July weekend?

Every Friday night in June& July they have a nice show at the Kemah
bordwalk(right across the road) you can enjoy it from the boardwalk, or
it's nice to anchor just off the Kemah cut in Galveston bay.

On the 4th I reccommend you anchor about a mile out from the Kemah
cut, or just sail the triangle....you can see fireworks in Galveston,
Texas city, Boliver, Baytown, Kemah, Clearlake, League City, Baybrook,
ect..ect..ect. Clearlake gets packed to the MAX. Good thing about
Clearlake is the fighter jets out of Ellington field some times put on
the best show. Last year 4 off em flew in formation to the middle of
the lake and one at a time lite off the afterburners and went straight
up outta site.

Have Fun!

Joe

I'll be in Portofino Friday night, June 30th until the 4th

of

July.

Any recommendation for viewing?
