Default Glen L Boat Designs? Anybody use these?

Sure - many are familiar with Glen-L. They're probably the 'best
known' supplier of plans / kits for amateur boat builders. Many will
deride their designs as being old / slow / fat / ugly etc, but their
plans are very complete, and many have successfully turned there plans
into boats - instead of frustration - through the years. Their
customer support is very good, which is (seemingly) more than can be
said of other 'plans' sellers.

I'm in the midst of their 29' sailing cutter 'Francis Drake' , C/flex
which I (obviously) don't think of in those terms expressed previously.
If you haven't already done so, purchase the Study Plans for the
design you're interested in. This will enable you to get a better feel
for the design than what's available on-line. You might try contacting
other "36" builders via their 'Boatbuilder Connection' forum at
Glen-L.com.
