Sea-Sense........I replaced a Tempo.....it did the same thing with it
too....



Air leak or weak fuel pump is what it sounds like until you say it will
not restart, I assume even with priming and/or choking. Check for spark
the next time it happens.

1976 was the last year for breaker-point ignition, check points lately?

Dirt in fuel bowl will cause these symptoms erratically, too,
intermittently blocking jets.
