Lisbon to Coruna
Most of the posters here are American... thus clearly have severely limited
experience outside of American waters.... never mind their own harbour.
[Okay some actually charter in the BVI's on occasion]
Some will protest by announcing they have travelled the world on Naval
Battle/Supply vessels... as if that would count as experience.
Maybe the Commonwealth contingent could be of help... Donal from the UK or
Ozone from Australia. There may even be one Yankee that has experience on a
charter in South America.... and maybe even one with a Trans Atlantic
crossing.
Other than that you are SOL.... try a forum were people actually engage in
cruising rather than day sailing.
Most of the subject matter here consists of lying, cheating, bragging, name
calling, back-stabbing, trolling, politics and on occasion boats.

Hi,
I need to move my boat from Lisbon (Cascais) to Coruna (or maybe
Bayona). I hope to do this in small (50 mile) hops.
Can anyone give me advice on suitable harbours on the way up.
Also experience on how to combat (if it is possible) the Portuguese
trades in July.
Also can anyone suggest where to leave the boat if forced to stop in
Bayona.
From wherever the boat is left we will make a single leg to Plymouth so
it needs to be somewhere where we can provision, repair and prepare.
Many thanks
Peter Sheltrum
