Uniden `Santana' VHF-Marine Question
wrote:
I'm afraid Uniden only went with a `cutesy' name for this model.
`Santana'
FCC ID# AMWUT862
Unfortunately, the FCC id revealed little info.
Perhaps someone knows what the `L' key is below the `PTT' switch?
I would like to know the age of the unit, and some explanation of the
`1/5' key; `int' key; and `mem' keys or combinations.
Best,
Bill

Marine radios are listed by model number, not some cutesy name.
I can help with the *mem* key.
My handheld Standard Horizon HS460S uses the *mem* key to set up which
frequencies I want to 'scan' when I hit my 'scan' key.
I have six set up now, including 16, 12 for harbour traffic, 68 for
local yacht clubs and 3 more to catch various transmissions...such as
the navy.
