Small word, my grandparents are all from Moore and Norman.
Must be a small world...
The Stanford
& Scott family's goes way back in Moore.
I'm familiar with a few Scott's in the area. Don't know any Stanford's
personally that I can recall.
The 10 acres my Grandfathers
house and small farm were on sadly now is an apartment complex.
What's the address or the closest intersection?
I still
remember the driveway was paved with local rose quartz.
When my mother was killed by a drunk driver when I was a teenager, the rose
rock was one of my favorite possesions that I received from her estate,
which wasn't much. Everything else burned to the ground this past
Christmas.
I loved the
summer there with the Locust buzzing in the trees, and grandpa's
concode grape ripening on the vines and huge garden full of the best
veggies on earth.
It's a great place to raise children. Although they are teenagers now and
I'm thinking about renting out my home and moving to Hawaii or Florida until
the mortgage is paid off.
Most the Stanfords were oilfiled people. Still have family members in
Norman.
I was big in the oil boom of the '80's. T. Boone Pickens was a family
friend back in those days.

Big names, big places...in those days. Don't remember the Stanford's, but
I've slept a few times since then.
Also Lloyd Noble, Jr. talk about Liberace or Bob Crantz!
