Default I/O Starter

In article ,
says...
With a little gymnastics on your part, you should be able to get it out
without pulling the engine. If you decide to pull the engine it is a 20
minute task IF you have an overhead chain hoist.

The problem is a metal exhaust pipe runs right behind the starter - I've
removed the rubber part of it, where access with any kind of wrench
would be. I'm assuming if I were going to remove the engine, I'd need
to remove this first, but don't know how its attached - and if I can
remove it, the engine doesn't need to come out. I'm awaiting manuals
I've ordered, but beginning to wonder when they are going to show up.
