I just boght a Sedona and on the second fill up got 14.5 MPG. I
thought it was a mistake in math but true! The sales person said that it
needed a 1000 Mi breaK IN. The service manager said same thing only 2000
break in. |The owners manual on page 4 said no break in required. Factory
said this was norma; and to take it to the dealer. If the dealer could not
find the problem, I had to pay for it/ The car has 500 miles on it and I'm
selling it.

Update.... Well I just got off of the phone with the dealership that my van
got towed to. The service advisor told me that I have numerous problems with
my van. I need an air flow meter at $440 I need an air filter he didnt give
me a price for that. I also need new plugs and a set of new wires $425 and 3
ignition coils at $348 for a grand total of $1213. So if I do my math right
in the seven months that we have had this van we have put over $2000 into it
not counting the tow bills. We tried to trade it in two weeks ago come to
find out we are $6000 upside down. But I am at the point where I dont care
if I have to trade it in on a YUGO I am getting rid of this money pit peice
of crap. But hey on the plus side we are running out of things to replace.

I do NOT advise anyone to buy a Kia. I have had nothing but problems with
this vehicle from the start. The service dept is a total joke.

I totally agree, I have a 2004 that is a piece of crap. More problems than
I can say. Safety switch on drive shaft locked, had to have car towed to
dealership, and was out of a automobile for 3 days while it was getting
fixed, would not give me a car to drive. Brakes are already shot and I only
have 23,000 miles on vehicle. Tires need to be replaced already. And the
list goes on and on. Maybe we should all get together and go after Kia for
some answers to the very POOR quality of there vehicle. I also know 2 other
people who own Sedonas 2005's and they have been nothing but problems. I
know they are not the highest priced vehicles but they should at least work
more than they are in the shop!
