Of course not. There's absolutely nothing wrong with saying the Lord's
Prayer or a Hail Mary, but there's an appropriate time and place.
(Unless the whole world is supposed to revolve around your ego needs
and momentary whims). Why camp out in a boating group and launch
non-boating topics, stir up personal disputes, and then lash out at
people who do nothing more than point out that your actions are
inappropriate?

You want to talk politics and crap, there are a ton of sites just
exactly for that purpose.
(In fact, most of those sites would throw you out on your arse if you
showed up and insisted on posting messages about boats).
