Chuck,
I know when you are debating this topic with JimH, you really don't
expect to convince him that rec.boats is a better place without the name
calling, inflammatory topics and political trolls, but are really using
this as a venue to get on your soapbox for all the others who might want
to jump on board. It appears that the majority of the people have
agreed they prefer a kinder and gentler rec.boats.

There are a few others who are always looking for a fight, and they will
try different bait till they get some action. I have noticed that most
of the regulars are now ignoring their trolls. Since I have tried
(semi-effectively) to ignore the trolls, I have found most of the people
I disagree with politically to be enjoyable folk. I also find rec.boats
to be more enjoyable place to waste some time.
