Default Question for the PortaBoat-owners in here.

Hey larry if you went overboard how would you get back on board?

I'd try the stern, given the choice, same as boarding the jetskis. The
seam on the stern where it joins with the hull sticks out the back and may
provide enough of a footing to boost you over the back while grabbing the
tillerman's seat in back. Sounds like a plan...(c;

How does it perform in other than calm conditons?

Compared to a blowup, it's much better in moderate chop. Like any planing
hull, you can plow the bow up and keep the spray away from you just before
it planes. 8hp would be plenty to do that. Just move some of the load
aft....(put me in the back seat...(c.

Because its so flexible, disconcertingly flexible at times, it absorbs the
waves that make a small boat pound so much. Being 12' long over an 8'
rubber raft, helps out, too.
