Default Ethanol; working now

Dave,

Ethanol; working now

Group: alt.sailing.. However, my old high school chemistry course told
me that octane rating is derived by equating a fuel's capacity to
spontaneously ignite at a given temperature to the capacity of a
specific mixture of octane and heptane.

Spontaneously ignite;-----Wrong! That is a "Ping!" A Ping indicates
Wrong Octane!

Dopey Dave,

If you wasn't so sure my answer to Vito was wrong; look again! My post
to Vito was a question, :^) ending with a ? mark (G)

So, my friend, you are in error in both cases. In other words as you've
pointed out; Not to be considered in any reference. Period!!
